We were hot BEFORE the Beatles came along !
|
|
We did everything together,
and practised our brains out !
|
|
My dad signed for it, and we bought
an ambulance to haul our equipment
and take trips in !
|
|
If you look closely, you can see the VOX
Royal Guardsmen Amps in the window !
|
|
Those were the true " Good Ole Days", and there will never be another era like it.
|
|
In closing, this time period was almost 40 years ago and
photos are hard to come by. If you happen to be from that area of the country and remember the Blazers, we're looking for any old photos and stories you might have to offer. Please email and let me know what you have, we'd love to hear from you.
Thanks for allowing firstake recording studio to share
some of the
"REAL GOOD OLE DAYS" with you, and please don't forget
to sign our Guest Book, theres a link on our home ( index ) page !

The third variant of the Blazers produced
our only album project which was financed by the local Jaycees. I think there were only 1,000 of these printed and they are quite rare now. This one is still unopened from its original shrink wrap, and is in MINT condition, as new. |

We played every Saturday night at one the two Teen Canteens in Blue Ridge, Ga., and
CopperHill, Tenn. I might add, we PACKED the place EVERY GIG !
Our biggest event, was opening for PaulRevere and the Raiders and Brian Hyland
in Atlanta at the Merchandise Mart. I know there are photos of that somewhere and,
when and if I locate them, I'll post them here. |
|

The second variant recorded our
very first session in a real studio,
Master Sound Studios in Atlanta,
and came away with two songs:
" Don't Pick on Me" and
" The Way it Was" .
The only copy we had of the session
was in the form of this Acetate with
one song on each side. I Still have
it but age has taken its toll and its
almost unplayable now. Luckily,
I made a cassette copy about 15
years ago and that is still audible.
