I've been in the music industry now for over 31 years. I started in 1968 at Liberty / United Artists ( UDC Distributers ) here in Atlanta and in January, 1972, I started to work for Warner Bros. Records where I stayed until I took early
Warner Bros Publicity During the course of the past 3 decades, I've worked in just about every aspect of the business from Promotion and Marketing to A&R and Artist Development . In this web site you can read and see the capsulized story of how we developed an artist from no where to multi-platinum status which involved putting together a career from the ground up, in virtually every aspect of the final package. That artist was Travis Tritt, and I believe you may be already familiar with his career. With the help of Russ Thyret from Warner Brothers, I put his career together from nothing. Including his band "Country Club", his Recording contract at Warner Bros., his manager Ken Kragen and his booking agent William Morris. I produced and recorded his first album in my home studio on Bentwood Drive here in Marietta, Georgia, and some ( almost ) 20 years later, a copy of " Proud of the Country " sold on Ebay for over $600.00 . I have decided to move away from the daily activity of recording the public and I'm going to activate my Original Record Label " CopperHill Records " and I will have to devote the studio to those artists we sign.
