Hello, My name is Danny Davenport and I'm the owner of Firstake Enterprises. I'd like to take just a moment to introduce myself.
I was a part of the major music industry for over 31 years. I started in 1968 at Liberty / United Artists (UDC Distributers) here in Atlanta and in 1968. I went to work for Warner Bros. Records in Janurary of 1971 where I stayed until I retired in September of 1999.
During the course of those 3 decades, I worked in just about every
aspect of the music industry including promotion, marketing, artist
development and A&R. I also developed an artist from no where and
took him to multi platinum status which involved putting together a
career from the ground up in virtually every aspect of the final package.
That artist was Travis Tritt. With the help of Russ Thyret at Warner Bros., I put his career together from nothing, including his band, "Country Club", his recording contract with Warner Bros, his manager Ken Kragen and his booking agent William Morris.
I produced and recorded his first album in my home studio on Bentwood Drive here in Marietta, Ga. and now over 25 years later and millions of album sales, a copy of that album, "Proud of the Country" sold on Ebay for over $600.00.
Recently, I decided to move away from the daily activity of recording and let that part of my life to a certain extend, become a part of music history.
